New Online Retailer-Race Mode Co. To sponsor Ladies Only Class in 2026
Race Mode Co., sister company to long time Ladies Only Class sponsor, Brooch Boutique, will be taking over sponsorship duties in the class that has brought so many women together at the historic Bunker Hill Dragstrip.
Race Mode Co. is a new online store featuring race themed clothing for men, women and eventually children. Abby Warpenburg, the owner, grew up at the dragstrip watching her dad race. She continues to spend many weekends at the track cheering on her son who is a Brandt’s Heating Cooling and Electrical Jr. Dragster racer. As a successful boutique owner, Abby saw a need for race inspired clothing, thus Race Mode Co was born with the heart of it centered around being able to give back more to the racing community.
Originating in 2023, the Race Mode Co Ladies Only class evolved after the success of a one time “Grocery Getter” race held at the facility. It was so much fun for the women who raced, that a class was formed to give beginner female racers a place that they could compete in without the pressure of racing against more experienced racers in the Bellman Oil Bracket Series.
The class, which follows the IHRA All Seasons General Contracting Sportsman Class rules, has brought ladies of Bunker Hill Dragstrip together, most who are racing their daily driver, for a type of fun that most wouldn’t have tried otherwise.
“There is no way I would have ever thought about bracket racing,” explains Cori McMillen, co-owner of Bunker Hill Dragstrip. “I was so scared to make the first pass in my Jeep down the track, but I am so glad I did it, because it’s so much fun. The laughter in the lanes far outweighs the stress of competition, and I hope to see more women give it a try at least once this season. We are so thankful to have Race Mode Co. as a sponsor for the class. If I am fortunate to win some prize money, I can promise you I will be spending it all online at their store. They have the cutest racing shirts.”
The Race Mode Co Ladies Only Class will meet 5 times this season on May 23rd, June 27th, July 11th, August 1st, and September 26th. Racers also have the option to sign up for points where the Top 10 will be recognized at the end of season banquet.
