Coan Engineering Returns As Bunker Hill Dragstrip Track Partner In 2026

Kokomo, IN- Not only does 2026 mark a huge milestone for Bunker Hill Dragstrip, celebrating their 70th year, but 2026 also marks a huge milestone, for long time track supporter, Coan Engineering, a Kokomo, Indiana family owned company, specializing in transmissions and converters, and their components, who is celebrating their 50th anniversary this year..
From a business that started in a garage 50 years ago, to an industry leader in a 40,000 square foot building, Coan Engineering has not wavered from the fact that they have always been supportive of local racers and their local dragstrip, which happens to be Bunker Hill Dragstrip, a short 20 minute drive from their facility.
In honor of Coan’s 50th anniversary, the Coan Engineering Winner’s Circle, every Bunker Hill Dragstrip racer’s favorite spot at the historic facility, will look a little different. Olson Paint and Body, Bunker Hill Dragstrip’s go to for all signage needs, will be swapping out the traditional red Coan Engineering signs, with signs that reflect Coan’s 50th anniversary logo. Class winners at every Bunker Hill Dragstrip points bracket race will not only go home with a newly designed Coan Engineering 50th anniversary big check, but will also receive a commemorative Coan Engineering 50th anniversary t-shirt.
“As a track owner we are very proud to have Coan Engineering as a marketing partner. Their support of our track and local racers is invaluable. Being able to send our race winners home with a big check and a t shirt sends the message that both our track and Coan Engineering care about them,” explains track owner Terry McMillen, “not to mention the detail that Coan puts into their product, and the fact that Jason Coan is always thinking one step ahead to make things better for racers in all disciplines of racing is pretty incredible. We love partnering with companies that care about racers as much as we do.”
In addition to the Winner’s Circle, Coan Engineering will continue to sponsor the right lane at Bunker Hill Dragstrip and the racer favorite, Haunt at the Hill race scheduled for October 16th-18th. The Coan Engineering Haunt at the Hill has quickly grown into Bunker Hill Dragstrip’s largest bracket racing event of the season, due to the family friendly atmosphere, great racing surface, and the fun “non racing” activities such as the pumpkin painting competition and pit decorating contest that are included at the event.
