Noble Roots Transport Expands Partnership with Bunker Hill Dragstrip in 2025
Noble Roots Transport, sponsor of the 2024 Bellman Oil Top Quick 8 at Bunker Hill Dragstrip, is expanding its partnership with the historic dragstrip in 2025.
Bellman Oil Top racer, Todd Shelton started Noble Roots Transport in 2019, after 20+ years of working in the concrete business. Using money from the sale of a 66 GTO, which he spent 4 years restoring, Todd took a leap of faith and purchased the equipment needed to start Noble Roots Transport. Shelton is the sole driver at Noble Roots Transport, where he hauls flatbed loads of steel, lumber and more, both locally and over the road.
Returning to 4 bracket races in 2025, will be the Noble Roots Transport Top Quick 8. This is a race within a race where the quickest 4 door cars and the quickest 4 dragsters of the Bellman Oil Top Class, are paired up on an 8 car ladder. The winner goes home with $200 and moves on to race round in 4 with the rest of the class. The runner up, semi finalist, and quickest qualifier, also take home some extra cash.
In addition, Noble Roots Transport will be taking over the naming rights to Bunker Hill Dragstrip’s popular Friday night Test and Tune, which will now be called Noble Roots Transport Test & Tune.
Noble Roots Transport will also support the Lane Automotive Summer Sizzle June 27th-29th as a weekend class sponsor. After many years of not having this event, the Lane Automotive Summer Sizzle, was revived in 2023, with the help of Bunker Hill Dragsrip racer, Nick Dishon. It has seen growth each season, and is expected to be even bigger in 2025 with a change to the format, which will attract both box and no box racers.
“We are blessed to be surrounded by great people who share the same vision my wife Cori and I have, of wanting to see Bunker Hill Dragstrip thrive,” explains track owner Terry McMillen, “We can’t thank Todd Shelton and his wife Liana enough for their commitment to the track and Bunker Hill Dragstrip racers.”
